Scarcely traveled by humans, these hellish swamps are made up of a decaying forest, acidic waters, and are infested with all sorts of demons. It is said by many that a dark blacksmith lives just beyond these swamps. Many bandits have used these swamps as hideouts, but are never seen again..

| Shikon Cave
The Shikon Cave is where the Shikon Jewel was created. It was formed when a warrior miko named Midoriko merged her soul with a group of demons. A barrier protects the cave from all those who want to use the jewel for selfish purposes. Only a person wanting to discover the origin of the jewel may pass through this barrier. The cave is located near the abandoned Slayer’s Village.

Known to commoners as the Kitsune Forest for the number of fox youkai known to inhabit this region, this is the forest that Shippou the young kitsune grew up in. Once terrorized by the formidable Thunder Brothers, this forest is also where their younger sister Souten still lives.

| Totosai's Lair
This is the lair of the fabled blacksmith Toto-sai who forged the great sword Tetsusaiga as well as Tensaiga from the fangs of a powerful Inu Youaki Lord. Toto-sai lives in the petrified remains of a demon (We have NO idea what kind of demon >_<). Located on the edge of an active volcano, sword requests may be made here, but don’t expect the picky sword smith to make a sword for just anyone.

| Mount Fuji
Rumored to have mystical powers Mount Fuji is worshiped by many, as well as feared. Earthquakes are usually minor, but frequent in this area. Which most nearby villagers believe happen when the gods are angered. Women are forbidden to set foot on this mountain.

A mighty mountain range dominates the sky of the Northern lands. The mountains are tall and unforgiving, swallowing up many travelers over the years. It is said that harpies are common in these parts. At the base of the mountain range, a dense evergreen forest grows.

| Lord Sesshoumaru's Castle
The home of the dog demons for many generations since the dog clan overthrew the cat demons. It is a massive mansion with overgrown gardens. It is a rarity to ever seen the current lord there at all.

| Yokogiru Village
A village that lies very close to the center of each of the four regions. It is a mixed, but prosperous village. Demon, and half breeds often travel through here without the scorn of humans, though they are wary of them. Trading here is plentiful and you can find most anything for the right price.

| Majikkumira Lake
A nice sized lake, full of lily pads and large fish. A river flows into the large water mass, refreshing the supply of fish. It is a popular spot for fishing for humans if they are willing to take the chance of encountering a member of the cat demon tribe.

| Meadows
Lush meadows with a few scattered trees here and there. It seems at if the wind is forever blowing through the grass. Though vibrant with life, this meadow has seen the scars of many battles. In the distance, one can see the imposing image of the castle of the great dog youkai, Sesshoumaru.

| River Valley
This is the lush and beautiful River Valley of the South West. They say that the waters from the rivers themselves in this area have healing properties. If you travel further along the river beds there is also an enchanted waterfall, said to be the largest and most beautiful in all of Japan. However, there have also been rumors of a demon wolf clan in the area. So be cautious, and watchful of your surroundings.

| Jinenji’s Farm
This farm is where you can find any sort of healing herbs which are sought out by many travelers. These herbs are used for all sorts of illnesses, injuries, or poisonings. The shy hanyou Jinenji and his grouchy mother look after the farm and are the one’s you must come to in order to obtain any herbs. Steeling from them will result in one angry defensive hanyou.

| Bokuseno's Forest
People have always said there was something strange about this forest, something in the trees, and they were right. This is the forest where the old tree demon Bokuseno lives. Known for being the tree used to create the sheaths of Tetsusaiga and Tensaiga, this 2,000 year old demon is also very wise and powerful.

| Canyon
A mighty river, over many years, carved into the very mountain creating the wide and steep canyon. The river is now a humble stream, and a perfect place to gather water.

| The Wolf Den
Through a waterfall at the base of some large cliffs lies the Den of the wolf demon Kouga and his pack. If you're lucky you might meet with the demon himself as he is generally traveling the countryside in search of his woman and the demon Naraku.

| The Forgotten Temple
An old, weathered temple forgotten over time. There is a massive sculpture of a woman holding out both hands above the entrance. It was said that this was once home to a fierce clan of youkai from the continent when they tried to invade. What has happened to the tribe is unknown, but their great temple remains. Proceed with caution for the temple is full of traps that were once used to keep out intruders.

| The Bamboo Forest
Dense as well as full of small creatures and wildlife, this forest is like a thick bamboo maze. Hidden caves and forgotten forest paths make this the ideal place for hunters, as well as bandits. Do not be fooled by its peaceful appearance though, for just beyond this forest there lies a series of cliffs where a vicious clan of wolf demons is said to roam. Often coming down from their secluded hideout and looking for stray humans who may have lost their way

| The Ocean
The South Eastern shoreline is greeted with the mighty waves of the Pacific ocean. The sandy shoreline is the home to many boulders and palm trees alike. It is a popular spot for fishing and swimming in the summer.

| Hitomi Castle
The home of the infamous Naraku who poses as the young lord Kagewaki Hitomi. The area is lush around the castle, but a deathly stillness surrounds the area. No wildlife is ever seen or heard but the minions of Naraku are frequent sights.

| The Shinto Temple
This is the temple run by the Buddhist priest Mushin, who took in the lecherous monk Miroku when his father died. Though Mushin has aged in years he is still seen attending to the temple and its grounds. On occasions Miroku still stops here to pay a visit to the grave of his father, and to check on the old priest who raised him.

| Bat Demon Cave
Now abandoned, this cave was once the home of Taigokumaru's clan of bats. The barrier surrounding its entrance was supposedly one of the strongest in the world. After kidnapping his granddaughter Shiori, Taigokumaru brought her to this cave and forced her to sustain the barrier. That is, until Inuyasha and the rest of the gang came and destroyed Taigokumaru and most of his clan

| Onigumo's Cave
This is the cave where the bandit Onigumo lay dying while under the care and protection of the Priestess Kikyou, whom he fell in love with. While Onigumo resided in this cave his greed led him to sell his soul to demons, and hence forth he became Naraku. Now that he has left the cave the spot where he lay while he was dying is so poisoned with evil that no living thing grows in that spot.

| The Bone Eater's Well
Known by those in the Feudal Era as a place to dispose of demon remains, this well is also a gateway that connects the Feudal Era with Modern Japan. It was discovered for its supernatural ability by Kagome when she was pulled down it by a demon on her fifteenth birthday. Later it was discovered that only those possessing jewel shards can travel through it.

Musashi's Domain is the place where our story began when Kagome freed Inuyasha from the God Tree. It is also the area of Japan in the Warring States Era that is home to Kaede's Village. The group often returns here when they need advice from Kaede or when Kagome they need a break from traveling.

The site of what was once the God of Wars great temple, it now lays in ruins. Completely deserted, many still come here to duel to the death and to train for battle.
